Digital Imaging
We carefully select and schedule radiographs based on specific guidelines. These radiographs provide us with a comprehensive view of your dental health, revealing details that are not visible to the naked eye. They help us identify cavities between teeth, assess bone level, and analyze overall bone health. Additionally, radiographs allow us to examine tooth roots, and nerves, and diagnose conditions like cysts or tumors. In cases of trauma, they help us assess any damage caused.
Dental radiographs are essential tools for diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. The exposure time for these radiographs is minimal, thanks to our utilization of Digital Imaging Technologies. Compared to traditional radiographs, digital imaging reduces exposure time by approximately 90%. This technology also enables us to retrieve valuable diagnostic information and potentially improve cavity detection.
Furthermore, digital imaging allows us to store patient images and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies. By viewing the images on a computer monitor instead of holding up a 35mm film to the light, digital X-rays offer greater precision. Moreover, they result in only 1/6th of the radiation exposure to you.
