3D Imaging
Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a cutting-edge medical imaging method that offers Endodontists a comprehensive view of the patient in three dimensions. In specific instances, CBCT significantly improves the Endodontist's capacity to diagnose, assess, treat, and provide care for patients.
During a CBCT scan, the machine revolves around the patient, capturing images with a cone-shaped X-ray beam. These images are subsequently utilized to create a 3-D model of the patient's teeth, oral and maxillofacial area (mouth, jaw, and neck), as well as the ears, nose, and throat.
